A Night to Remember: The 2025 Aspire Spring Gala in Boston

For the third year in a row, Drips had the absolute pleasure of attending the Aspire Spring Gala in Boston — and once again, it left us inspired, grateful, and full of sugar (more on that in a minute). We were honored to attend alongside our incredible clients from Liberty Mutual, and it's safe to say this event just keeps getting better.

A Toast to a Great Evening

The night kicked off with a cocktail hour at Davio’s, where the conversation was flowing and the energy was high. It’s always a treat to connect outside the day-to-day, and doing so in a space as warm and bustling as Davio’s made it even better.

Stepping Into Something Special

We walked over to the Four Seasons, where the ballroom had been transformed for the gala — colorful, vibrant, and full of life. From the moment we stepped in, we could feel the spirit of community and inclusion that Aspire is known for.

The presentation was one of the most moving parts of the evening. Timothy Sweeney, CEO of Liberty Mutual, shared the beautiful origin story of Aspire: how it started as a summer camp focused on real-world experiences for kids on the autism spectrum. His words were a powerful reminder that their mission — building connection and independence for neurodivergent individuals — is more relevant than ever.

The Highlights (Yes, There Was a Candy Shop!)

Of course, no great gala is complete without a few interactive moments, and this year did not disappoint.

1. The Lockbox Challenge
We procured two keys with high hopes of unlocking one of the coveted prizes. While we didn’t win, the thrill of trying (and laughing with our group) made it worth it.

2. The Sweet Shoppe
This was dangerously fun. I made sure to stock up on a colorful mix of my favorite candies — my kids were VERY happy with the haul I brought home.

3. The Live Presentation
‍The storytelling, the vision, the impact — it all left us reflecting on how important this work is. Aspire is helping children, teens, and adults on the autism spectrum and with Asperger profiles connect socially, grow independently, and build community.

What It Made Me Think Of…

Lately, I’ve been listening to a podcast called The Telepathy Tapes by Ky Dickens. It explores the inner worlds of non-speaking individuals with autism, and the overlap in themes — voice, connection, empathy — felt incredibly relevant after attending the gala. I highly recommend giving it a listen if you want to be moved.
